About Holly Curtis:

Ms. Barbra Lukunka is a Senior Policy and Programme Officer at the IOM Office at the UN in New York. In this role, she leads a small team focused on IOM’s engagement with the UN peace and security pillar. Together with her team, she also supports country offices by providing policy guidance and programming support on peacebuilding and humanitarian initiatives. Prior to joining IOM, she worked with the UN Secretariat in New York, specifically in the DPPA and DPO. She also has field experience with the UN in Burundi and Haiti. She holds a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology and has published several academic works stemming from her dissertation, which focuses on forced migration, peacebuilding, and return/reintegration into the country of origin after multiple episodes of prolonged exile.
